Who is Christo Horn?
Christo is a registered professional mining engineer (ECSA) with a Masters in Business Leadership and more than 25 years of mine site operational experience. He has held positions as COO, Vice President and General Manager for more than 12 years which include being at Corporate level leading Long Term and Strategic mine planning for a large mining company. He has worked across various commodities including Gold, Platinum, Zinc/Lead/Silver in African countries with exposure to mine sites in Australia, Canada and South America.

I met Christo towards the end of 2016, when he joined our operation as the Chief Operating Officer. I was tasked to give an analysis of our FOG data to the senior management team. He’s understanding of mining process and ability to coach immediately showed, through the interaction. Since then, we interacted in different capacities and had informal coaching sessions touching on both technical know how and soft skills. His blended background of production, technical and administrative roles position him well to guide individuals within the mining industry to reach new heights.
